Size Run

Definition

The complete range of sizes offered for a garment style, and the quantity breakdown across those sizes (also called a size ratio or size curve). A typical size run might be XS-S-M-L-XL in a ratio of 1-2-3-2-1, meaning for every 9 units, 3 are Medium. The size run directly impacts fabric yield calculations, cutting efficiency, and total production cost. Getting the ratio right minimises deadstock.
