Tencel / Lyocell

Definition

A cellulose fibre made from sustainably harvested eucalyptus wood pulp using a closed-loop solvent process that recovers 99.7% of the chemicals used. Tencel (Lenzing's brand name for lyocell) is softer than cotton, naturally moisture-wicking, and biodegradable. It blends beautifully with cotton for a luxurious hand feel and is increasingly specified by eco-conscious brands building premium basics.
