Foil Printing

Definition

A decoration method that applies metallic or holographic foil to fabric using heat and pressure over a screen-printed adhesive base. Foil printing produces a high-shine, reflective finish in gold, silver, copper, and specialty colours. The technique requires precise temperature and pressure control — too little and the foil lifts, too much and it dulls. Best used for accent elements rather than large coverage areas.
