Organic Certification
Definition
Third-party verification that textile raw materials were grown and processed according to organic standards — no synthetic pesticides, no GMO seeds, and meeting soil and water management requirements. Key certifications include GOTS (covers entire supply chain), OCS (Organic Content Standard, covers chain of custody), and national organic labels. Certification requires annual audits and adds cost, but it is the only credible way to substantiate organic claims.
