Rib Knit
Definition
A stretchy knit fabric with alternating raised and lowered rows (ribs) running vertically. Common configurations include 1x1, 2x1, and 2x2 rib. Rib knit is used extensively for cuffs, collars, waistbands, and hem bands on hoodies and sweatshirts, as well as for full garments like fitted tops. Its inherent stretch and recovery make it essential for any garment needing a snug, elastic finish.
