Coverlock
Definition
A stitch type produced by a coverstitch machine, creating two or three parallel needle lines on the face and a looped seam on the back. Coverlock is the standard for hemming t-shirts, activewear, and knit garments because it allows the fabric to stretch without the thread breaking. The distinctive double-needle topstitch visible on most t-shirt hems is a coverlock stitch.
