DTG (Direct to Garment)

Definition

A digital printing process where water-based inks are jetted directly onto the fabric surface using modified inkjet technology. DTG excels at photographic and complex multi-colour designs with no minimum quantity — ideal for print-on-demand, samples, and limited editions. On 100% cotton, DTG produces a soft hand feel. Limitations include slower speed than screen printing and higher per-unit cost at volume.
