Sublimation
Definition
A digital printing process where dye is transferred from paper to fabric using heat and pressure, causing the dye to convert from solid to gas and bond permanently with the polyester fibres. Sublimation produces photographic-quality, all-over prints with zero hand feel — the dye becomes part of the fabric. The limitation: it only works on white or light-coloured polyester or polyester-coated substrates.
