Waffle Knit
Definition
A textured knit fabric with a three-dimensional grid pattern resembling a waffle iron. The recessed squares trap air for insulation while keeping the fabric lightweight (180-280 gsm). Waffle knit is used in thermal underlayers, henleys, and casual tops. Its distinct texture adds visual interest and is increasingly popular in streetwear and contemporary basics collections.
