3D Puff Embroidery
Definition
An embroidery technique where foam is placed beneath the stitches, then the thread is sewn over it to create a raised, three-dimensional effect. The foam (typically 3mm thick) is perforated by the needle and any excess is torn away after stitching. 3D puff is most popular on caps and streetwear, where it adds a premium, tactile dimension to logos and text that flat embroidery cannot match.
